As Vallen walked along the road, with the Shinx leading the way. He stopped to recall his day. It started with the Bidoof, jumping at him begging for a fight. He remembered fondly how well Astaire had battled and defeated the guy. Then re remembered the Shinx's first appearance and how he chased them but somehow disappeared with out any logical trace or anything. Vallen was a bit curious but he let it go.
He then remembered the odd bird trio that appeared right before his biggest event. The birds were there and gone just as quickly, then that damned Abamosnow came crashing through and Vallen fought him with Blackie, his trusty Houndour. The fight was long and hard fought, but in the end, Blackie was the one hobbling back to Vallen.
IT was sure a long day for Vallen but here he was, night had fallen and he was following this Shinx going after a Sneasel. This was really an odd adventure but Vallen couldn't wait for this up coming battle. It would test his ingenuity and Pok?mon battling skills. He wasn't sure what to do but he knew full well that he was going to win and that was that.

stop now! before it's too late, your lover was for hire, have you noticed he's been late? [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,460,true][atrb=style, background: url(http://i53.tinypic.com/a2vuas.png); padding: 5px; text-align: justify; color: #202020;]Night Time Pok?mon Encounter!
It has been a long day indeed for the young trainer. He had already encounter so much on his journey and yet, it seemed the Route was as clear as crystal during this time. The moon was out in this dark, abyss night, letting the snow upon the ground sparkle and shine. This blanket had been covered the Earth and gave a distance to it as well, for the route was all white. It was beautiful, like a winter wonderland and many Pokémon loved just staring off to enjoy it.
In fact, the Shinx that lead the boy was unlike most of the other Pok?mon. He hated this kind of 'lovely-dovey, fun-like' winter activities and feelings in the air. He just wanted to defeat his rival and was so ready to just kick the Female Sneasel's ass but, where could she be? It was so dark, so.. so.. dark. Twigs snapping could be heard in the distance and the Shinx was keen on making sure he would hear every footstep in the snow. It was so cold out and there was no warmth in this darkness. <Damnit..> He whispered, cursing the air as his ears perked up. Were birds flying close by?
Of course, most Pokémon were hibernating or gone for the winter. In fact, a flock of Pidgey flew above the trainer, past him heading south. They laughed and talked, chatting about the near by trees and the area below. Of course, when they finally got to their destination, it would be warm and they could rest which is why they decided to fly at night. It was a lot faster and they could avoid the potential Trainers and predators that would lead them astray from their mission. Plus, the night life was just so quiet.
After another moment, a flock of Ducklett flew above the trainer as well, heading south but, after a mere second, a single ducklett flew the opposite way. The Shinx paused for a moment, his feet deep in the snow as he listened. What was that Ducklett saying to herself? It wouldn't of been so confusing if she was so far away but, he didn't like other people very much anyways.
Where in the world was it going? After all, that was not South nor was it any correct way. The Ducklett stopped, circling in the air for a moment before plummeting towards the dark ground. <Ohh noooo!> Did the bird not know how to fly? She fell very fast, flapping her wings before landing in a large pile of snow not very far from the trainer. <Gahhh it's cold!> She shrieked, struggling in the wet snow. <Help me! Help me!> The poor ducklett was stuck! What would the trainer do? <Don't help her...> The Shinx shook his head, glaring back at the trainer. <We don't have time for this..> He mumbled, waiting for the boy's answer. Was he gonna play hero or continue to let the Shinx lead him.
Oh no! The Ducklett fell into a pile of snow!
Will you help the Ducklett?Female DucklettLevel: 7 Abilities: Keen Eye - Big Pecks Attacks: Defog, Water Sport, Water Gun Slower then Most | Doesn't understand DirectionShinx is currently leading VallenMale ShinxLevel: 7 Abilities: Rivalry - Intimidate Attacks: Tackle, Leer Mean elitist | Calls everyone trashSummary

Alas! There's a ducklett trapped in a pile of snow. It's dark too and only the Moon is being a good use of light.

Vallen walked along the road, awestruck by the beauty the moon added to the already ascetically pleasing blanket of snow. The crunching of the snow under his and the Shinx feet started to make it's own king of rhythm and off kind of beat. In the cascading moonlight everything seemed to be more majestic, as if tonight he was getting a new start.
At the sound of the sticks being broken, Vallen pulled out a Pok?mon, it had a bit of time to rest and was itching to get out into the snow and play. With a red flash that light up the night for a moment, then a black dog burst onto the field. The meaty dog immediately started to rub the side of his face through the snow, rolling around and playing happily. For a fire type Blackie loved to run and play in the snow.
The flock of birds took his attention, he wasn't particularly fond of the birds, he didn't find ether appealing. Though he did admit to himself that he would need a flyer , this was a sky island nation after all. It only seemed logical for him to pick up a bird along the way. HE was pulled from his thoughts about which flyer he wanted by a plummeting Pok?mon, a ducklet.
Of course the Shinx was all for leaving it, and Vallen was inclined to agree with him. However Blackie wasn't so jaded as to not want to help something that needed it. He was torn between wanting to get his current task done and over with. At the same time Vallen was against leaving the damn thing stuck. he was in a bit of a bind to say the least.
Running to the side of the Shinx with an off handed smile, Then your gonna need to hurry up He said. Turning his back to look at Blackie with a Whistle, signeling the dog to use ember on the snow pile, letting the bird free AND keeping up with the shinx. Vallen liked coming up with Win/Win situations and this was an easy fix.
Trotting up to Vallen with a smile and happy leap, Blackie let out a fire ball that shot right into the snow pile. Melting it into noting but a puddle. around the silly little duck. Vallen hoped the water typing would prevent too much damage from the attack, and it would free it up. After all it's not like Blackie shot the duck, just the snow pile.

< you better be worth it, scum, > growled the shinx as the trainer chose to go against his orders and rescue the ducklett. he had told him to do the exact opposite and leave the bird where it was! what the hell did this trainer think he was doing, going on a fairy dance around the toadstools? this was war! shaking his head, the shinx kept moving, not caring at all whether that scummy little piece of trash that called itself a bird was okay or not. shaking itself off, the ducklett flew back to the trainer, trying to catch up on waddling little feet. < gee, thanks, sir, > she called out slowly, shaking the snow off her feathers. she was a water-type bird, so ice didn't affect her as much as if she were a pidgey. the water droplets just rolled easily off her well-oiled feathers. but it was still annoying to have crashed, and a little embarrassing. < i'll be off now, i think, > she said gratefully, quacking as he feathers got bent back into position. she was ready to fly again. before she left, though, she felt like she ought to help the trainer out. < by the way, i thought i saw a sneasel that way! > she said, pointing her wing in the completely opposite direction, although neither of them knew that. it wasn't her fault, she was just terrible with her sense of direction. < yeah, definitely that way. good luck! > she flapped experimentally and, finding no problem, launched off into the sky, flying totally the wrong way towards where her flock had gone. oh, well. she might crashland and accidentally find them again, knowing her luck. wild ducklett fled!
