It's a good year for the Kanto Region. With the Pok?mon League bustling with new trainers, many are exceeding their own expectations and collecting lots of Pok?mon. Numerous breakthroughs in Pok?mon Technology have allowed nearly anyone to become a trainer, and sets a good horizon for trainers going on their adventure. But of course, while there is hope, there is also chaos.

In order to stop as much disorder as possible, the Pok?mon League has been covering up reports of a large group moving through the Region, preforming cruel tests on Pok?mon and utilizing the Power of a Pok?mon thought only to be a legend. This Pok?mon, "MewTwo" as those who tell the story have been known to call it, has been developed using the DNA of the fabled Mew, although many pass this idea off as being nothing but foolishness and empty lies. But every day, more and more troubling signs appear, and the Pok?mon League is finding it harder and harder to keep the group's actions hushed.

Their goal, although simple, is a very dangerous one. They plan to genetically enhance and army of Pok?mon and take over the Region, eventually building up to creating the "Perfect Pok?mon". A Pok?mon without weakness, a Pok?mon that can stand above all others - MewTwo is said to be that Pok?mon, but their leader (known only by the alias 'Beta') knows that it is far from Perfect, albeit powerful.

They call themselves Team Alpha, and although secretive, are rumored to control more than they appear to. Can you trust anyone aside from yourself? Will you, too, fall prey to Team Delta's sinister plots? Or will you join them, and help them create the Perfect Pok?mon?
